Women’s Shelter

Lokk Twists

Lokk Twists are hand made in Ghana by the Aussieghana Women’s Co-operative.  Providing better than fair trade wages, this life changing project is helping to empower women in the Town Council Line community of Accra. A portion of each Lokk Twist sold provides education and school resources for their children.

Backpacks & Pencils

We provide backpacks, pencils and exercise books to help make school easier for kids who typically don’t have any of these items that we all take for granted.

Just $20 buys the whole package.

Ghana Police

We have a long standing relationship with the Ghana Police and regularly provide support for them in the form of computers and training for their staff.

They will be providing us with on the ground support if necessary for the shelter.

Feeding Program

We teamed up with a local NGO in Ghana to provide meals for 1200 children under the age of 12.

Osu Children’s Home

We have been working closely with the Osu Children’s Home, Accra’s largest orphanage, since 2010.

We have had several days where we cooked special food for the children. We hosted a large Christmas party in 2010 with bouncy castles, popcorn machine, a DJ and haircuts for each child.

Since 2010 we have visited regularly and donated computers, food, toiletries and much needed supplies.
